Pets and Other Animals Will Need Our Help Due To Hurricane Harvey

Many Dogs, Cats, Horses, Cattle and Other Animals May Need Our Help

Hurricane Harvey Will Hurt Many Animals

Hurricane Harvey will hit Texas today. The heavy rains and winds will cause a lot of damage. Many, many pets and other animals will be in need of our help.

Many veterinarians in Southern Texas will treat wild animals and homeless pets without any compensation. This is a huge burden. We can help them.

The Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation (TVMF) is here to help us.

TVMF provides programs advocating responsible animal ownership and educating the public about the importance of veterinary care for their pets, ensures the infusion of bright new medical talent into the profession by providing support to veterinary students through awards and grants, supports select programs/projects that advance the art and science of veterinary medicine, supports the veterinary community by being the public relations and philanthropic arm of the veterinary profession and supports the veterinary community by providing a contingency fund for disaster and emergency relief.

If you are able, you can donate to the foundation. There is a choice to select disaster in this link. Donate TVMF.

We made a donation in honor of all of our loving pet parents, and their pets.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Dr. James M. Greenwell, or staff, at 214-547-8387. We can also be contacted via email at welovepets@planopethospital.com.

We are here to help you, let us know how we can be of service to you or the community.
